It's been a disappointing year for me so far, there's not been much Ive seen that I've really enjoyed apart from 4 stand out movies. 'Let The Right One In' is my favourite so far, a film about Oscar, an overlooked and bullied boy, finds love and revenge through Eli, a beautiful but peculiar girl who turns out to be a vampire.
Darren Aronofsky's 'The Wrestler' is my second favourite - A drama centered on retired professional wrestler Randy "The Ram" Robinson as he makes his way through the independent circuit, trying to get back in the game for one final showdown with his former rival.

Third... Clint Eastwoods 'Gran Torino'. It's about a grumpy, tough-minded, unhappy an old man called Walt Kowalski, a widower who holds onto his prejudices despite the changes in his Michigan neighborhood and the world around him. Drawn against his will into the life of his new friend and family, Kowalski is soon taking steps to protect them from the gangs that infest their neighborhood.
Last but not least, I loved Woody Allen's 'Vicci Cristina Barcelona'. The plot is based around the sexually adventurous Cristina and her friend Vicky on holiday in Barcelona where they meet the celebrated and wholly seductive painter, Juan Antonio. Vicky is not about to dive into a sexual adventure being committed to her forthcoming marriage. But Cristina is immediately captivated by Juan Antonio's free spirit and his romantic allure is enhanced when she hears the delicious details of his divorce from fellow artist, the tempestuous Maria Elena.
